My approach

Because I also litigate regularly, I recognize the pitfalls in a contract or in a (litigation) opinion immediately. Where necessary, I relentlessly hold up a mirror to the client, and I expect the same the other way around. After all, we are one team, and so we go for the best result.

My work often touches other areas of expertise as well. I am used to working with professionals with different backgrounds, and with lawyers in different fields. I also work on behalf of other law firms; either in the foreground or in the background.

About me

Since 2023, I have had my own office, following my DNA: dynamic, equitable and bold. I stand for a just and livable world and also continually strive to improve myself. In everything I do, I try to act on Maya Angelou’s quote:

“I’ve learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.” – Maya Angelou

In addition to over 20 years of practicing law at large law and notary firms (HVG Law and Hekkelman), I have in-house counsel work experience at several companies, including an energy company.

Furthermore, you can call me awake for snow or hot chocolate, preferably both.
